Stress Management

Stress is a part of everyone's lives and can negatively affect our wellbeing more than we realize. Ongoing distress (negative stressors) can cause depressed mood, extreme fatigue, heighten susceptibility to disease & illness, as well as increase self-medicating behaviors such as drug & alcohol use, and adversely affect eating and dietary behaviors, among other similar physiological and psychological symptoms.

There are many ways that one can manage stress such as exercise, stress management techniques, counseling and time out for recreational activities.

Take this Time Management Exercise to find out where you might be able to adjust your schedule to limit stress.

OR, try this progressive muscle relaxation technique to slow down your mind and relax your entire body.
